Babe Ruth, BOS: The young slugger continued to take American League sluggers to task in August - pounding out twenty-three extra-base hits, including ten home runs, as he eclipsed the all-time single-season long-ball record. Ruth hit .343, with a League-leading .467* on-base average and .828* slugging percentage, and led the circuit in triples (5*), runs (28*) and RBI (29*).
