White Sox 7, Tigers 4: Chicago scored six times in the bottom of the 8th to win their eighth game in a row. Cleveland was having everything their way up until then, with the White Sox only able to muster a single unearned run over the first seven innings and a two-run double from Eddie Ainsmith and a two-run homer by Ty Cobb giving Detroit a 4-1 lead. But Chicago loaded the bases with two away in the 7th and, although Slim Love came out off the bench to halt the rally, the crowd could sense a change in the air. When Swede Risberg started the 8th with a triple and Ray Schalk immediately singled him home, the ball was rolling - three singles and a Joe Jackson two-run double later there were six runs on the board and Roy Wilkinson just had to survive three walks in the 9th to secure the win. Jackson, Eddie Collins and Harry Heilmann each had three hits, and Ira Flagstead walked four times. [box]

Indians 5, Browns 3: George Uhle went the distance and Ray Chapman had four hits and three RBI to pace the Tribe at home. The shortstop was in the middle of all three Cleveland scoring rallies and Uhle held St. Louis without an earned run until the 9th inning. Jack Graney had three base hits at the top of the Indian order. [box]
